Yahoo! goes gunning after Tumblr, Posterous, et al.. Not yet sure what the endgame is here, as there’s no 300x250 ads.
What’s most interesting is that this seems to be the brainchild of Yahoo! Southeast Asia, and only recently did an English version of the Alpha appear. Despite the “flat Earth” effect of the Internet, social software refuses to grow any other way but organically and locally (much like a fancy vegetarian restaurant).
